Deforestation Reasons

Deforestation has become a huge concern in today’s life as there has been a rise in the decline of forests. Trees are cut down in order to manufacture paper products as well as for livestock farming and so on. In order to feed the ever increasing population of the Earth, trees and forests are converted to farm lands. This has become a threat to the world and it has been seen that rates of decline in the forests are increasing at a rapid rate. This has led the planet to warm up and leading to high temperatures. This cycle would continue for the following years to come unless necessary steps are taken to prevent deforestation. Deforestation has caused fewer trees to grow. It has also gone a long way in eliminating valuable ecosystems in the planet. Now, let us have a look at some of the important deforestation reasons.  

Some causes of deforestation There are so many causes of deforestation that we cannot just concentrate on one or two causes for the destruction of forests. There are reasons like proximate cause like in the public production forests where one can look at the logs as well as woodchips over-cutting. Then there are also causes like ecological simplification as well. When it comes to public conservation areas, there are factors like recreation impact as well as modification of fire regimes and impact of exotic species at the same time. People go for cutting down of trees for agricultural purposes as well which disturbs the ecological balance in the atmosphere. This is the main reason why there has been a change in the climatic condition. Temperatures have risen to a great level leading to the problems in the survival of the world.

There is another reason for deforestation and this is logging. When we say logging, we mean the process of removing trees from the forest. There are many reasons why logging is carried out. The reason might be for agricultural purpose or for urbanization as well. This leads to a great problem in destruction of forests and also serves as the primary cause of deforestation. What’s more, the process of logging also causes many rare and valuable species to extinct. This in turn causes mutation that leads to the discovery of new species.

Extinction of rare species When it comes to extinction of rare species from the planet, there are also numbers of plants as well as animals that have shown a rise in the decline of the species. The rate of extinction is much higher than the normal rate that was reported last year. This is a very serious problem and steps should be taken to prevent the extinction of animals and plants. If it happens that the biodiversity continues to go up in this rate, then there would no way to control this problem. So, it is very important to stop cutting down of trees from the forests in order to avoid deforestation.
